Tea Cosy Auction At Bundoora Homestead

Bundoora Homestead Art Centre is hosting an auction on Monday the19th May, to raise funds for the Cancer Council of Australia, and I have donated this tea cosy for the sale!
Apologies for the slightly dodgy photos. I made the cosy as a very humble example of the species...as I wanted it to have a homely feel, much like Bundoora Homestead itself, under all is grandeur it it essentially a family home...and it needs a tea cosy!

The tea cosy measures aprox. 36 x 40cm, and is made of hand embroidery and freehand machine embroidery on Tasmanian wool, silk, cotton, rayon, vintage French silk and silver thread ribbon, a silver-painted model horse figurine (in honour of the ghost horse which gallops across the Homestead's garden every night...the Homestead was a very successful horse stud for many years...)

If you are interested in bidding on the tea cosy pictured, you can contact the Bundoora Homestead via email or phone, and their contact details can be found on their website:

www.bundoorahomestead.com

Their address is:
7-27 Snake Gully Dr
Bundoora, VIC 3083

Phone: +61 (0)3 9466 9628

Teacosy* Number 34; Bundoora Cosy, 2008. Artist: Tara Badcock (Australia)
